We help clients to identify and acquire commercial real estate, either directly or via syndication. Our range of services in these areas includes all aspects of pre-purchase due diligence, risk analysis and reporting, arrangement and structuring of debt, and all legal accounting and documentation process through to transaction closing.

Tascott accepts instructions to act to acquire any property, however the assets we aim to acquire are well-located with functional and design attributes that are resistant to the depreciating affects of time, that contribute to fostering communities and which meet our core ethos of sustainability.

OUR BACKGROUND

​Toby Scott is the Founder of Tascott & Co. He has over 20 years of real estate experience in New Zealand and the UK, including working through the challenges of the GFC and the Christchurch earthquakes. Toby's early work principally involved risk assessment and underwriting of commercial property and construction finance. During his career he has worked in real estate asset and investment management, principal investment, debt advisory and social housing development.

Toby spent over a decade with ANZ bank's specialist property & construction finance team.  He had the benefit of working with, and learning from, some of the larger investors and developers in New Zealand, underwriting complex transactions involving a diverse range of investment and development assets across the country. Toby has also been a director at CBRE (NZ), worked in Islamic finance for Qatari owned Al Rayan Bank in Central London and managed a large real estate portfolio in Wellington for a New Zealand based property syndicator.
