Our Story
Understanding risk
Toby Scott created Tascott & Co following over 20 years of real estate experience in New Zealand and the UK, including working through the challenges of the GFC and the Christchurch earthquakes. Toby's early work principally involved risk assessment and underwriting of commercial property and construction finance. During his career he has worked in real estate finance, asset, property & facilities management, principal investment, debt advisory and social housing development.
Toby spent over a decade with ANZ bank's specialist property & construction finance team, working with New Zealand's largest investors and developers, underwriting complex transactions involving a diverse range of investment and development assets across the country.
He was the principal debt funding manager for Mitchell Mackersy Property for many years, a Director in CBRE's Debt & Structured Finance team, Senior Manager for Al Rayan Bank in Central London, specialising in residential development projects, and General Manager for the Anaro Group, managing a portfolio of CBD office and industrial assets in New Zealand's capital city, Wellington.
Tascott's professionalism, vision and wide-ranging skill set were apparent throughout the whole process of acquiring our investment property.
